Other information: UNIROL was conceptualized in 2003 to serve the growing demand for construction steel in Bahrain, fuelled by high oil prices that resulted in unprecedented growth throughout a wide spectrum of the economy, especially in the real estate sector in the country and the region as a whole.

A group of individual and institutional investors from Bahrain and Saudi Arabia contributed to the successful completion of UNIROL's state-of-the-art plant in December 2008 and drove it to commercial production in 2009.

The Unirol plant is located in the new modern Hidd Industrial Area in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This location is in close proximity to the new Khalifa Bin Salman Port which makes it convenient for UNIROL to transport its raw material smoothly and in a timely manner to its premises. The main product is reinforcing steel bar 8-32mm in diameter. Rolling mill capacity is ~200,000 tonnes rebar / year.
