Main steelmaking facilities in Mexico include the Puebla Works, in Puebla (direct reduced iron, electric arc furnace steelmaking, continuous casting and bar production); the Monterrey Works (DRI, EAF, ladle furnaces, slab casting, hot and cold rolling mills, temper / skin pass mills, coating lines); and Tenigal (cold rolling and hot dip galvanising).

Principal products sold include direct reduced iron (DRI), hot rolled band (HRC), billets, slabs, bars (including reinforcing steel bar), wire rod, sections, sheet piling, hoop and strip, cold rolled and coated steel coil and sheet (including galvanised, aluminised and corrugated steel sheet); and welded tube and pipe.

The company has an annual production of more than 12.4 million tons of finished steel products. Ternium is Latin America's leading steel producer.

Note that in September 2017, Ternium acquired a 100% ownership interest in Thyssenkrupp Slab International B.V. and its wholly-owned subsidiary CSA Siderurgica do Atlantico from Thyssenkrupp AG.
